Australian SPF Services is seeking two motivated and reliable Shed Team Leaders to join our team at Australias only disease-free farms at Lancefield and Woodend. These are handson leadership positions responsible for overseeing daily production, shed operations, ensuring high standards of fertile egg quality, animal husbandry, animal welfare, biosecurity, documentation and team performance. A third position as a rearing shed team leader is also required for the Lancefield site which, on occasions, will be used as a Post Entry Quarantine facility under DAFF supervision until release from Quarantine. Highest Biosecurity Requirements Showering onto the farm site All new clothing laundered on site Staff cannot have any avian species (poultry or birds) at home Key Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to achieve maximum productivity of disease-free (SPF specific pathogen free) fertile eggs while adhering to animal welfare practices. As such you will: Lead and supervise shed staff to achieve production targets Oversee daily care, feeding, and monitoring of chickens Maintain excellent biosecurity and animal welfare standards Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting Coordinate daily tasks, maintenance, and schedules Promote teamwork, communication, and a safe working environment. About You We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in poultry or livestock management Skilled in leading people and building teamwork Punctual, responsible, and takes pride in their work Able to communicate clearly and follow procedures Physically fit and able to work in a farm environment.
