The Role As a Hydraulic Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems and equipment both in the field and in our workshop. This handson role requires technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a customerfocused mindset. This fulltime position offers a minimum of 38 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime and aboveaward wages. An attractive package is available for the right person. Key Responsibilities Attend client sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders, ensuring minimal downtime for our customers. Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing of hydraulic equipment to prevent failures and extend equipment life. Install and commission new hydraulic systems and components, ensuring compliance with operational standards and customer requirements. Provide technical advice and support to clients and team members on hydraulic system operation and maintenance. Complete allocated workshop tasks such as cylinder rebuilds, pump and motor repairs, pressure testing, and system upgrades. Maintain accurate records of all service, maintenance, and repair work performed, including service reports and inventory management. Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures, ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and industry standards. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on job status, and deliver highquality service. Stay updated with the latest advancements in hydraulic technology and participate in ongoing training and development. About You Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Diesel, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Fitter). Proven experience in hydraulic system diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings. Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Valid LR drivers licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Forklift licence (desirable but not required) Able to pass preemployment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
