We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic customer focused gogetter to join the Heidelberg Materials Australia team in Gisborne, Victoria, approximately one hour north of Melbourne. The Concrete Batcher is a role with excellent career development potential, offering exposure to concrete, quarry materials, plant operation, concrete batching, scheduling and logistics within the construction industry. We are searching for someone who is passionate about safety, resultsfocused, has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and can manage multiple tasks at once. Candidates from all industries hospitality, logistics, agriculture, supply chain, commerce, fast food, manufacturing, mining, health are encouraged to apply. If you have batching or concrete experience its a bonus, but it is not a prerequisite. This is a fulltime role, Monday to Friday, with early morning starts and rostered Saturday work according to business needs. In your new role with us, you will be: Overseeing the operation of a concrete batch plant Operating a frontend loader (FEL) Regularly interacting with customers, taking orders and scheduling deliveries Working in a highperforming team and collaborating with other local plants to deliver positive outcomes for Heidelberg Materials and the customer Demonstrating safety, coaching and mentoring potential Ensuring all products adhere to strict quality requirements Monitoring plant and equipment, scheduling and conducting maintenance as required Managing maintenance and production tasks, which includes some level of manual handling This role is a great fit for you, if you: Are looking for a career change and want to work in the construction industry Have the drive to succeed and can work without supervision Are an effective communicator with a team mentality Seek a flexible roster that includes Saturday work and reasonable overtime Are looking to obtain a Construction Card / White Card Are able to operate with and support our Zero Harm safety policy Can physically perform all tasks associated with the position What we offer: Great hourly rate starting at $30.35, with higher rates of up to $33.36/hr depending on experience and competency level Monday Friday schedule plus rostered Saturday mornings finishing around lunch time Opportunity for overtime, pending the workload FEL ticket (if not already achieved) Being part of a highly recognised global brand and growing organisation Ongoing training and development opportunities Heidelberg Materials Australia is an equal opportunity employer and we employ people from all walks of life.
