Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimizing stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality one of only two in the southern hemisphere. Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), our location ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 420 team members with a processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week. About the Role Our Riverina Plant is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanical professional to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this handson role will lead and develop other maintenance team members while overseeing a range of mechanical maintenance and installation projects. The position also includes general maintenance supervision activities within a fastpaced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage daytoday operations and ensure the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment. Key Responsibilities Developing and implementing maintenance plans Monitoring safe working practices in accordance with the workplace health and safety act and JBS policies and procedures Taking a proactive role in understanding the root causes of downtime and working on solutions Ensuring immediate reaction to breakdowns and urgent work Liaising with the Plant Engineer and Maintenance Planner on work orders, work plans, technical information, inspection reports and other information Ensuring all mechanical documentation and schematics are securely retained, updated and maintained Ensuring all statutory requirements are met About You Post trade plant maintenance and supervisory experience, including planning and execution and documentation Experience with pneumatics & hydraulic, refrigeration and steam High level of competence in fault finding and rectification of mechanical systems and components Sound knowledge and application of workplace health and safety regulations Ability to provide leadership guidance and direction to maintenance personnel, including contractor supervision Ability to contribute to the development of knowledge, skills and abilities of members of the maintenance team including apprentices Why work for JBS?
