Aerospace Engineering Traineeship Drone Applications What Youll Do Support Drone Operations: Assist with drone setup, maintenance, and preparation for flight testing. HandsOn Learning: Learn about aerodynamics, propulsion, sensors, and control systems in modern UAVs, including test piloting. Field Work: Help the team during test and operational flights and data collection missions in agricultural or environmental settings. Data Handling: Learn how aerial data (such as images and sensor readings) is processed and used for analysis. Team Collaboration: Work with engineers and drone operators to improve drone performance, efficiency and missions. Safety & Compliance: Gain an understanding of drone regulations, safety checks, and flight procedures, including studying for CASA RePLs and Type Ratings up to 150kg. Who Were Looking For One trainee for our Ag and heavy drones based in Rosewood, QLD and one trainee for our warehouse and drones based in Brendale, QLD. A recent school or college leaver or mature age worker with a strong interest in aerospace, robotics (AI) and drone technology. Enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn in a handson technical environment in the field. Basic understanding of maths, physics, or technology subjects. Good problemsolving and teamwork skills. Ability to travel to work and test sites around Australia. Comfortable working outdoors and in fieldtesting environments around Australia. No prior experience required just a genuine passion for engineering and innovation! Duration: This traineeship position is available for up to 12 months, with potential for extension based on performance and project requirements. Start Date: This position is available for immediate start for suitable candidates.
