The Department of Rural Clinical Sciences, based in Bendigo, delivers dentistry and oral health programs supported by a state-of-the-art clinical teaching school at Bendigo Health. Our purpose-built simulation facilities and innovative teaching prepare graduates for the future of dental practice. A Level B Clinical Practitioner is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical teaching in Dentistry and Oral Health. This includes developing and implementing content, using evidence-based approaches and leveraging education technologies to enhance the student experience. The role supports professional accreditation processes and works closely with the team to prepare future dental practitioners. Teaching and related activities may comprise up to 100% of the workload. Key duties Provide clinical education at undergraduate level, engaging students through clinical placement. Prepare and mark student assessments, including moderation. Initiate and participate in innovative subject-level curriculum design, embedding employability capabilities and using evidence-based evaluation of initiatives. Consult with students and provide constructive, fair and timely feedback on learning. Skills & Experience Masters or equivalent accreditation recognised by the University or relevant profession in Dentistry and Oral Health. Registered Oral Health Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (Ahpra) with no restrictions. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development or subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, evidenced by high student feedback or awards. Recent and relevant clinical experience in Dentistry and Oral Health. High-level organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and follow up actions with minimal supervision.
