Relocation support payment available for eligible applicants.Position InformationBathurst High Campus is part of Denison College of Secondary Education. The campus has a history and a diverse community with modern facilities and programs across academic, vocational, creative and performing arts, and sports. The school forms an innovative college structure with Kelso High Campus. The successful applicant will be based at Bathurst Campus and appointed to Denison College of Secondary Education.Specific Selection Criteria (Qualifications)Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with Emotional Disturbances and Behavioural Difficulties, with demonstrated excellence in individualised classroom teaching practice.Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate quality data-driven Individual Education Plans, with strategies to meet the needs of students with challenging behaviors and mental health needs.Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers, SLSO staff, external support agencies and the wider community to achieve positive student outcomes.Proven classroom management expertise and wellbeing practices, with a commitment to building the capacity of colleagues to promote improved outcomes for students with challenging behaviours.ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process concurrently.Applications are welcome for permanent full-time or permanent part-time roles. If appointed as permanent part-time (FTE 0.10.9), an appointment will be offered at the desired FTE.
