The college fosters Christian unity through its active partnership with the local Anglican, Catholic, Lutheran and Uniting churches. Located on 21 hectares in a quiet bushland setting at 48 East Street, Jimboomba, it caters to the educational and faith needs of the Jimboomba, Beaudesert and surrounding communities. Responsibilities Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learnercentred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices. Collaboratively developing and implementing quality intervention programmes and appropriate pedagogy, evaluating their effectiveness, assessing progress and learning outcomes, and reporting on that progress. Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture. Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes. Establishing positive relationships with students and supporting their progress. Qualifications Creating a supportive, learnerfocused pedagogy. Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programmes in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students. A passion to support students'' spiritual and moral development. Applicants need not be Catholic, as Emmaus College is an ecumenical school. Eligibility & Safeguarding Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment. Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers. All staff must meet the Archdiocese of Brisbane''s standards of conduct and undergo working with children checks and background referencing.
