The Role We are seeking a passionate and skilled Secondary English Teacher who can actively support and uphold the values and Christian ethos of the College. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an educator who loves inspiring students to engage deeply with language, literature, and effective communication. The successful candidate will teach across a range of English subjects in the secondary years. He or she will create engaging, purposeful, and studentcentred learning experiences that foster critical thinking, strong literacy skills, and a genuine appreciation for literature and written expression. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons aligned with curriculum requirements. Develop students confidence and competence in reading, writing, speaking, and analytical thinking. Use a range of pedagogical approaches to support diverse learners. Contribute to the broader school community through cocurricular activities, events, and team collaboration. Inspire students to pursue excellence and grow as thoughtful, articulate communicators. About You Relevant tertiary teaching qualification with a focus on English or related fields. Current teaching accreditation/registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. Strong classroom management and the ability to engage a diverse range of learners. A collaborative, flexible, and studentfocused teaching approach.
