Classification: ANU Officer 5 (Administration) Salary package: $85,434- $93,200 per annum (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation Terms: Part-time, Continuing (19hrs per week, 0.54 FTE) Position overview The ANU Drill Hall Gallery is a venue of choice for many of Australias leading contemporary artists, curators and collectors. The Gallery has developed a proud tradition of impeccably presented landmark exhibitions accompanied by scholarly publications. The Drill Hall Gallery also maintains the University Art Collection of more than 3000 works that reflect important developments in Australian art. The Drill Hall Gallery is connected to the broader constituency of the Australian National University and to a vibrant Canberra arts scene. Committed to excellence in its exhibitions, publications and associated events, the gallery constitutes an integrated facility showcasing curatorial practice, public education, cultural events and communitybuilding activities. The Membership and Events Officer is responsible for the planning and delivery of the Friends of the Drill Hall program including the timely organization, administration and delivery of media, events, research, and outreach. The Membership and Events Officer fosters relationships, developing a community of interest, and making the Gallerys program of exhibitions known to a broad range of stakeholders. This role is responsible for overseeing the gallerys front of house, rostering casual staff and managing special events. This requires work outside of the ordinary span of hours, weekends and may include domestic travel.
