And so do you.Join us as a Allied Health Assistant and be there to care.A brighter future with Helping Hand, for older people and for you.Based at our Home Care office in Salisbury South, as our invaluable Allied Health Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualised therapy support to clients that is goal focused, individually tailored and at a level of intensity appropriate to the client''s needs.Youll also make an impact by:Assisting in the provision of effective treatment sessions, as instructed, to achieve planned client outcomesAdopting a client-focused approach to work, based on dignity, respect, cultural sensitivity and informed choice.Complying with the administrative requirements of the Therapy Program by maintaining accurate documentation of client interventions, data collection, data entry and completing other reports and administrative tasks as directed.Working in partnership with clients, their families and/or carers, other health professionals and the community to support the needs of each client.Facilitating client access to and participation in community activity.What you''ll bringTo succeed in this role, you will have:TAFE Certificate III in Aged Care, Allied Health Assistant, a current Allied Health Professional student, or equivalent.Sufficient physical strength, flexibility and endurance for manual handling requirements related to service provision as directed by therapists.Intermediate computer literacy including confidence with Outlook, Word, Excel and a Windows environment.Good written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with a diverse audience.Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, and the ability to adapt to change in the workplace.Demonstrated ability to work independently and to seek advice as required.Demonstrated ability to work as an effective and cooperative team member.Experience in managing the collection of statistical information.Good problem-solving ability.Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one.Youll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of peopleThe ability to contribute in a team, while demonstrating leadership skills to support and develop staffDemonstrated ability to make decisions, take initiative and work independentlyExperience in coordinating and assisting in management of schedulesCertificate 3 or 4 in Personal TrainingExperience working as an Allied Health Assistant (or similar role)Why Helping Hand?We get it - a role in aged care is more than just money.
