Job Description Aurora Dairies is currently seeking a Senior Farm Hand (or Farm Hand) for a dairy farm located at Bushy Park on the edge of the Styx River in Southern Tasmania, 50 minutes from Hobart and 20 minutes from New Norfolk in the Derwent Valley. The farm is approximately 542 ha effective area, with 390 ha under pivot irrigation and 47 ha under hard hose irrigation. This farm is currently milking 1,000 cows, through a 50bail rotary shed with ACRs, auto teat spray and auto draft via DeLaval herd management system. This farm is 100% spring calving beginning in midAugust. This is an excellent career opportunity offering: A highly competitive salary and career progression opportunities. Pasture management. Machinery operation. Repairs and maintenance. Qualifications Desired skills and experience: Past dairy industry experience is desirable for this position, but we may consider inexperienced applicants with the right attitude.
