We are looking for an experienced and passionate Food Services Leader to oversee our caf kitchen operations and provide high-quality food and customer experiences. As a key member of the Knoxbrooke Coffee team, you will lead menu and food preparation, quality and safety standards, stock control, and overall kitchen operations. Youll also support front of house operations when required. About the Role The Food Services Leader is responsible for: Managing menu and food preparation, quality control, health and safety, and inventory/ordering across Knoxbrooke Coffee sites. Supporting Supervisors in daily site operations and contributing to the social enterprises strategic direction and commercial outcomes. Ensuring Knoxbrooke Coffee is valued for its contribution to the community, product quality, customer service, and supported employment opportunities. Lead food service delivery, including recommending improvements to operations, menu strategies, equipment and products. Undertake preparation and cooking of caf menu items to a high standard. Oversee ordering of stock and supplies, delegating to Supervisors where appropriate. Apply practical knowledge of food safety regulations and ensure compliance with all health, safety and licensing requirements. Maintain costs within budget, demonstrating strong understanding of COGS to inform menu, supplier and ordering decisions. Assist with frontofhouse tasks when needed (greeting, taking orders, payment handling, food service, clearing, coffee making). Support Supervisor/s with onboarding and induction of supported and open employees. About You Qualifications & Experience CertIII in Commercial Cookery (preferred); CertIV (desirable) Demonstrated experience in the successful direction and supervision of staff in a caf setting Experience within the disability sector or supported employment environment (preferred) 2 years (minimum) experience in commercial cooking Food Handling certification and current Level2 First Aid (minimum) Proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally experienced with POS systems Skills & Attributes Warm, personcentred approach with strong teamwork and leadership skills Positive and enthusiastic can do attitude Genuine interest in supporting people with diverse abilities in meaningful employment Strong customer service focus and willingness to use feedback constructively Solutionfocused, with sound judgement and decisionmaking skills Reliable, punctual and professionally presented Able to meet deadlines and achieve goals Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates effective communication skills Why Join Us?
