Kitchenhand/Catering Assistant - Aged Care Catering Industries Pty Ltd is a leading provider of contracted hospitality services (catering, cleaning and laundry) to Australia''s health and aged care, education, government, corporate and resources sector. We currently employ over 2,000 personnel across various operations in our active market. Base award hourly rate for this role is $25.85 plus casual loading ($32.31 per hour Mon-Fri). About the role We are seeking Catering Assistant/Kitchenhand to join our modern kitchen team at our clients aged care facility located in Casino, NSW. This is the perfect opportunity for an industry professional and self-starter to join our group at a stateoftheart aged care facility. Roster of employment Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 2:30pm - 7:30pm. Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:30pm - 7:30pm. Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply. * The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID19 Vaccine, and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one. Skills and experience Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary. Reliable and punctual Ability to multitask and perform work within deadlines. Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients. The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen. Key Responsibilities Providing meal service to elderly residents Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up. Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents Washing dishes and plating of meals Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen Function set up and clear down. Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in daytoday tasks.
