Were looking for an enthusiastic Piggery Attendant to join our farming team. This position is perfect for someone wanting to develop a career in agriculture. Youll build on your knowledge in livestock production by working alongside experienced farm staff, learning all aspects of pig care, livestock production, and animal welfare, with the chance to engage in clear development opportunities. Reporting to the Farm Manager, this role is based 30 minutes north of Echuca, VIC, on one of our pig growout facilities. The purpose of this role is to be a key player in keeping our pigs healthy, happy and well cared for. Become a part of a supportive and knowledgeable farm team About the Role As our next best animal attendant, youll be responsible for: Feeding, monitoring and caring for our pigs to ensure topnotch animal health and welfare Carrying out health checks, administering treatments and following vaccination programs as advised Maintaining clean pens, equipment and facilities to the highest standards Recording animal health and production data accurately Learning and applying biosecurity and safety practices About You In welcoming someone into our SunPork community, our ideal candidate will have: 12 years of experience as a farm hand within a piggery or similar role Passionate about animal welfare and agriculture A positive cando attitude paired with a keenness to learn, develop and progress within the company Availability to work weekends and public holidays when needed Physical fitness and comfortable handson farm work SunPork Group is an equal opportunity employer.
