Quest Ballarat Station Front Office Receptionist (Casual) Job Type: Casual. This role requires availability across morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and public holidays shifts. Candidates must give at least 1 week notice for scheduling. Are you someone who genuinely loves people the chatty ones, the tired ones, the stressed ones? We are searching for a Front Office Receptionist to join our vibrant, professional team. This is a role for someone who brings energy, empathy, and initiative and isn''t afraid to step up when the moment calls for it. About the Role As our Front Office Receptionist, you''ll be the warm and capable first impression of the property handling checkins, guest enquiries, and bookings with a professional, friendly demeanour. While the core focus is reception and guest service, you will also be responsible for ensuring continuity of service across the property. This is a dynamic role that rewards initiative, empathy, and reliability. Key Responsibilities Deliver professional reception services to guests in person, over the phone, and online Manage reservations, checkins, checkouts, and guest enquiries efficiently and with a smile Maintain the presentation of the front desk and reception area to Quest standards Promote Quest services and local knowledge to enhance guest experiences Liaise with internal departments to ensure operational continuity Support urgent housekeeping or guest room matters as needed to uphold service standards Handle guest feedback with professionalism and a solutionsfocused approach Maintain accurate financial and guest records in line with Quest policies Uphold property safety, security, and cleanliness protocols Who We''re Looking For Warm, approachable, and confident in guestfacing interactions Calm under pressure and enjoys solving problems quickly and efficiently Comfortable using booking systems and Microsoft Office programs A natural team player who thrives on shared success and stepping up when needed Professional in appearance and communication Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences Not afraid to roll up their sleeves when the unexpected happens Previous hotel or accommodation reception experience preferred Passionate about hospitality and being part of a highperforming team Able to step into support roles with flexibility when needed without losing sight of your primary duties Application Requirements Please note: If you have already applied for this position at Quest Ballarat Station, do not reapply.
