Duties Of The Role May Include Providing assistance to residents and site with basic support during move in period and ongoing general maintenance duties Ensure communal areas are tidy and maintained in support of resident activities Assisting with light furniture movements when required Maintaining up to date inventory of all equipment on electronic system Development of program of preventative maintenance for all equipment Coordination of external contractors to attend servicing requirements for equipment requiring external servicing Horticultural and grounds development, maintenance and monitoring Garden and grounds maintenance including mowing, hedging, pruning, weeding, edging Other maintenance/gardening duties as required What will you bring to the role Maintenance and/or Trade qualification (desirable) Previous experience and knowledge in general and commercial maintenance Previous experience managing contractor relationships is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work from manuals and drawings Demonstrated problem solving and a can do attitude Exceptional people and interpersonal skills Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills Strong decisionmaking and timemanagement skills Ability to work as part of a team but also be capable of working autonomously Who is Southern Cross Care Queensland Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCC) is a Catholic notforprofit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross more than 40 years ago.
