Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Whales Regional Workforce is seeking 300 Meat Process Workers to commence in January 2026 at a meat processing facility in Nathalia, VIC 3638. These positions may be a good fit for those who are: Looking for long term job opportunities for a period of up to 4 years (contracts are between 14 years in length) Seeking opportunities for development within one of Australias major industries Eager to learn Meat Process Workers are part of a team responsible for managing the livestock slaughtering process, boning, cutting, packaging and preparing the meat for sale. Working in meat processing means you will be in a fast paced team environment where the work can be physically demanding and repetitive. Duties may include: Processing meat, offal and tripe Moving carcasses to chillers and freezers Loading meat products into trucks Packing boned and sliced meat into cartons Cleaning and sanitising equipment and work areas These positions are full time and successful applicants will be offered a minimum of 38 ordinary hours per week. Pay and employment conditions are as per the Meat Industry Award 2020. The job has the potential to upskill and the training will be provided. Characteristics of the job will be Labourer, Entry level. Experience in this field of work is beneficial, however it is not required as training will be provided. All employees must have received or be willing to receive QFever immunisation and be willing to undertake preemployment medicals (drug screen, hearing, hand test etc).
