NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE BELOW POSITIONS: Boilermaker /Pipe fitter Welder Fabricator. LOCATION: South Windsor, NSW. HOURS: Monday - Friday - (Overtime available). DURATION: Permanent / Full Time. START DATE: ASAP. REQUIREMENTS: Boilermaker/Welder Trade Certificate (Cert III in Engineering Fabrication Trade) or Above. 3-4 Years minimum work experience in a similar role. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, Forklift License, Experience within a fabrication workshop or manufacturing based role is essential.Job Roles and ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to your workshop/area supervisor you will be required to work autonomously and within a manufacturing team to assist in the fabrication and assembly of components.Assemble and install metal pipes and pipe fittings for stainless and carbon steel projectsUse clamps, brackets, and hangers to secure pipes to structuresRemove slags and rough spots from workpieces by operating grinders or scrapers to ensure smooth work surfaceEmploy your knowledge of metallurgy to determine materials and equipment most suitable for a welding projectClean and prepare workpieces using chemical solutions etc. to remove foreign matter such as grease, rust etc.Use heating furnaces to preheat metal pipes prior to welding or bendingCut and shape metal components to set specifications using power saws, chipping knives or other hand toolsFill holes, cracks, and dents on metal workpieces or pipe productsUse micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments to check gap allowances, grooves or anglesAssemble metal and non-metal pipes and pipe fittings using threading machineControl and turn valves or regulators to adjust flames and ensure proper use of welding gasWear appropriate protective gear and ensure compliance with established health/safety regulationsExperience within a fabrication workshop or manufacturing based role is essential.Skills and ExperienceThe position offers immediate start working with our fast-paced team and would require the successful candidates to possess the following essential qualifications.Boilermaker/Welder Trade CertificateMild steel, Aluminium or Stainless-Steel welding experienceAbility to read drawings & mark out your own jobsConstruction Industry White CardConstruction/manufacturing experienceAttributes:Physically fit and enjoy working both indoors and outAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to follow directions and instructions from area supervisors and managersPractical knowledge of WHS #J-18808-Ljbffr
