About the Role We are looking for a person who can help run the kitchen efficiently and effectively, has experience in Italian cuisine (minimum 3 years), and can look after the daily operational tasks of running a busy kitchen. Working alongside our Head Chef & Sous Chef, you will be creative, assisting to maintain the high standard of our menu as well as curating a changing specials menu in consultation with the owner. Most importantly, we are seeking someone who is passionate about food, particularly Italian cuisine, who strives for culinary excellence, and is able to work in a team-based environment. As our Chef, you will be an integral part of our kitchen operations and creative team, contributing fresh new ideas and dishes to our menu. This is a part time or full-time position, with working hours from Wednesday to Saturday, 10am3pm and 5pm9pm, and Sunday from 10am4pm, totaling approximately 4045 hours per week with a rotating 5-day roster. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of modern Italian dishes to a high standard. Collaborate with the creative team to develop unique and exciting menu items. Manage food prep and kitchen organisation. Ensure consistency and quality in all dishes. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Train and supervise kitchen staff as needed. About You Previous experience as a chef, ideally in a high-volume restaurant minimum 3 years. Strong understanding of Italian cuisine with a modern twist. A creative mindset, eager to develop innovative dishes. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
