The Kariong Neighbourhood Centre is a great place to meet new people. Our groups include Active Playgroup, Pilates for Seniors, The Over 50s Friendship Group and Tai Chi. Volunteer Overview Are you skilled at maintenance and repairs? Have a green thumb? If youre skilled at maintenance and repairs, and handy to have around, come and join our friendly volunteer team at Kariong Neighbourhood Centre. Responsibilities We are looking for one or more volunteers that can help to keep the building in good working order, tidy and keep the gardens looking neat and green. Must be fit and able to lift 10-15 kg comfortably. Small painting jobs Fixing locks and latches Basic carpentry Cleaning windows Regular leaf blowing Occasional runs to the tip Weeding and maintaining gardens Helping to fix any breakages Benefits Satisfaction of supporting the local Neighbourhood Centre Being part of a dedicated team Increase knowledge of community organisations and helping others in the community Work experience - a reference will be provided after three months of work Requirements To be referred to this role an interview with Volunteering Central Coast is required.
