About the role We are currently seeking an experienced Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) Operator at our Wilpinjong mine. Our Wilpinjong Mine is an opencut mine located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee, producing highquality thermal coal for export and domestic markets. The mine life extends into the 2030s, and we are exploring options to extend this for another decade. Reporting to the CHPP Shift Supervisor, the scope of your role will be to operate all areas of the Coal Preparation plant in line with production schedules whilst working within a small crew. The majority of trade work is completed by external contractors on planned regular shutdowns, so this is more of a processing and firstpass maintenance role with good variety. Responsibilities Operate and monitor the preparation plant to optimise production and quality as directed by the CHPP Production Supervisor. Identify, report and act on all hazards while complying with the Health, Safety and Environment Management System. Perform train loading operations in line with train schedules and blend parameters. Perform CHPP roving duties to monitor performance and make adjustments as required. Perform firstresponse breakdown maintenance tasks as required. Conduct periodical inspections. Operate stockpile dozers to manage product coal stockpile and for reclaim operations and train loading. Maintain CHPP equipment during scheduled maintenance periods. Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPP and Train Loadout.
