Macadamia Orchard Maintenance and Equipment Operator Position: Macadamia Orchard Maintenance and Equipment Operator Employment Type: Casual with opportunity to become full time Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Friday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM Total: 38 hours per week Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Macadamia Orchard Maintenance and Equipment Operator. This role involves maintaining our macadamia orchard in pristine condition and ensuring the health and productivity of our trees. The successful candidate will be provided with their own shed, machinery, tools, and water supply to carry out their duties effectively. Key Responsibilities Maintain the macadamia orchard to the highest standards, ensuring it is always in pristine condition. Perform tasks including slashing, mowing, spraying, harvesting, and monitoring pests and diseases. Ensure all trees are secured and growing well. Operate farm machinery and tools safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of all activities and report any issues promptly. Pay close attention to detail and take pride in the quality of work. Qualifications Previous farm work experience preferred. Proficiency in operating farm machinery and tools. Valid chemical handling license. Strong understanding of pest and disease management in orchards. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Shed facilities, machinery, tools, and water supply provided. Work in a supportive and prideful team environment.
