Established over 30 years ago, SteelChief is a family owned and operated company. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality products to our customers. We manufacture and install custom built sheds and storage solutions including workshops, storage lockers, garden sheds, aviaries and pet enclosures. We have an opportunity for a Heavy Rigid (HR) or preferably Multi Combination (MC) Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating a variety of trucks to deliver our products throughout Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales. Some overnight travel will be required. When not on the road, youll work as part of the loadout and manufacturing team, gaining handson experience in assembling our sheds, aviaries, and pet enclosures. Youll also assist with preparing and fulfilling delivery loadout requirements. If your preference is to focus solely on driving, we may offer part-time or casual options to suit your lifestyle. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to the demands of the role. While previous manufacturing experience is an advantage, its not essential comprehensive onthejob training will be provided. Responsibilities Maintaining safety, quality and manufacturing standards Operating various range of trucks Local and interstate driving Delivering products to distributors within timeframes Working within the loading department preparing all components ready for delivery Qualifications & Requirements A safety focus Forklift licence or willing to get one Good communication skills both written and verbal Hold the relevant licence Heavy Rigid (HR) or Multi Combination (MC) Truck Driver Interstate driving experience would be an advantage Experience with hand tools / power tools Working in a high paced environment Strong organisational skills Ability to understand and follow processes and procedures Exceptional work ethic Proactive and results focused attitude Willing to get a Driver History and Police check If you believe you have the skills and attributes we are looking for and would like to join the team, send through your resume.
