Role This is a Full Time position within the Division of Surgery. You will be responsible for ensuring accountability for access and performance in the Divisions delivery of high quality, safe and efficient surgical and procedural care to babies and children; optimising access and flow, patient safety, staff capability and wellbeing and enabling organisational, budgetary and workforce sustainability. You will use business intelligence instruments to identify emerging trends and support evidence-informed decisions for improved clinical care and organisational efficiency. What youll achieve : In conjunction with the Chief of Surgery; set the direction for the Division of Surgery and support achievement of Divisional and RCH strategic objectives and targets Collaboratively develop, review, and secure integrated, networked and performance-oriented operational structure to deliver efficient, effective, high quality, safe patient centred care Develop a risk register in conjunction with the RCH Risk Management for these risks, including those that relate to legislative compliance You will build team capability and resilience, authorise and enable a culture of curiosity and creativity to adapt to work in a dynamic environment Develop and implement financial strategies and actions that will ensure budgetary targets and key performance indicators are met, ensuring financial responsibility and accountability of all units and wards within the Division Your skills and experience : Extensive knowledge of surgical service delivery in an acute health service setting with proven ability to manage and lead effectively within a complex health service involving activity-based funding Highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills Ability to develop and motivate individuals and teams and to create a high-performance culture across clinical and non-clinical settings Consultative leadership style that promotes participation and meaningful engagement If this sounds like you, click to view the position description.
