As the Onshore Wind Business Leader at Arup, youll play a pivotal role in driving the success of utilityscale onshore wind projects. This position involves leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver technical excellence across all phases of wind energy development from concept and detailed design to construction and owners engineering services. Youll provide strategic guidance, build strong client relationships, and contribute to expanding Arups market presence in the renewable energy space. The Opportunity Lead and deliver onshore wind projects across all stages - from feasibility and design to construction and commissioning - ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and contributing to strategic growth in the renewable energy sector. Provide technical leadership in wind energy systems, particularly in foundation design, grid connection, and environmental considerations. Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, integrating expertise to deliver holistic project outcomes. Mentor and support team development, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement within the wind energy practice. Is this role right for you? Extensive experience in onshore wind energy projects, including technical delivery, project management, and client engagement across multiple phases of development. Strong engineering background, ideally in civil, structural or electrical disciplines, with a deep understanding of wind turbine technology and infrastructure. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor staff, lead multidisciplinary teams, and foster collaboration across business units. Commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with experience in business development, proposal writing, and identifying market opportunities in the renewable energy sector. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including presenting at industry forums, liaising with clients, and representing Arup in external partnerships.
