MT Air, a rapidly growing company, is looking for a Managing Director to join our team in Sydney. In this role, you will report directly to the owner and have full responsibility for the business unit, including team management and oversight of profits and losses (P&L). You will be supported by a team of skilled technicians who benefit from ongoing development and leadership training. As the primary point of contact, you will handle relationship management, financial oversight, industry expertise, operational management, compliance, and quality control in the HVAC sector. This position involves overseeing daily operations, setting business goals, managing teams, and ensuring the overall growth and success of the company. Provide overall strategic leadership for the business, setting goals and operational plans that ensure sustainable growth within the air conditioning and HVAC maintenance sector. Direct and coordinate all company operations, including service delivery, maintenance scheduling, procurement of equipment, and customer service standards. Develop and implement business policies, workplace health and safety protocols, and compliance systems in line with industry regulations and Australian standards for HVAC systems. Oversee financial management, including budgeting, cash flow monitoring, pricing strategies, and evaluating major expenditure on tools, fleet, and specialist air conditioning equipment. Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the HVAC maintenance industry to identify opportunities for expansion or improved service offerings. Represent the company in highlevel negotiations with key clients, suppliers, and industry bodies to secure major contracts and strategic partnerships. Recruit, mentor, and supervise senior staff, including operations managers, technicians, and administrative teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Evaluate overall business performance against key indicators such as customer satisfaction, contract renewals, and service response times, making adjustments to maintain competitiveness. Authorise and oversee the preparation of major reports, tender submissions, and proposals for largescale air conditioning maintenance projects. Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry codes of practice specific to HVAC maintenance and installation.
