Flexibility arrangements Flexible work is a broad term used to describe a variety of different arrangements about how, when and where work is performed. The authority supports mutually beneficial flexible work arrangements which suit operational requirements. Arrangements may be consistent and regular, such as part time work, working from home a couple of days each week or remotely from another location; or more ad hoc such as varying work attendance times or occasional home based work. Consideration is given to all flexible work requests, approval is not limited to an employees classification level or caring responsibilities. This role is being advertised as both ongoing and nonongoing. The role may be offered as either ongoing or nonongoing subject to business needs and/or candidate preference. Where a nonongoing position is offered, the role will be filled as a specified term vacancy for an initial period of up to 12 months. Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS) unless the Agency Head has agreed otherwise, in writing. At NZEA (PM&C) to be eligible for this position you should be an Australian Citizen at the closing date of application, unless exceptional circumstances apply (see FAQs in the candidate information pack for more details). Successful applicants will be required to undergo the process to obtain and maintain, or continue to hold the required security clearance level for the role as indicated. All NZEA staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement. Successful applicants will be assessed through our preemployment screening checks, including a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, and will normally be subject to a sixmonth probation period if new to the APS, or if they have not yet completed their probation period elsewhere in the APS.
