About the role In this pivotal role, you will oversee the Inside Out Prison Chaplaincy (IOPC) ministry, ensuring the delivery of high-quality chaplaincy services across Queensland Correctional Centres. You will play a central role in shaping and embedding Carinitys missional culture, supporting our chaplaincy teams and representing Carinity on the State Chaplaincy Board. This is an opportunity to lead a ministry that changes lives, supports people in need and strengthens communities across Queensland. Your day-to-day will involve Overseeing operational delivery including rostering, worship services, Bible studies, compliance and pastoral support Driving strategic improvements, including recruitment, training and expansion of prison ministry initiatives Building strong relationships with QLD Baptist churches to promote chaplaincy, recruit chaplains and strengthen networks Contribute to the missional culture within Carinity and QLD Baptists movement Representing Carinity and IOPC at events, meetings and the State Chaplaincy Board Providing pastoral care and spiritual support to chaplains, QCS staff and relevant stakeholders Managing reporting, administration, compliance requirements and contributing to strategic planning for IOPC About you You are a compassionate, purpose-driven leader with a strong grounding in Christian chaplaincy and pastoral ministry. You have a genuine heart for supporting people within the correctional system and a steady, spiritually centred approach to your work. You build trusted relationships with ease and lead teams with clarity and confidence. Comfortable engaging with churches, ecumenical groups and key stakeholders, you bring people together to strengthen and grow the ministry.
