Location Location: Riverina region (Griffith, NSW)Employment Type: Full-time About Us Southern Cross Farms (SCF) provides horticultural management services to private, institutional, and corporate investment groups, with multiple production sites across the Sunraysia, Riverland, Murray Valley, and Riverina regions. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Regional Manager to oversee farm operations across multiple sites within the Riverina region. This role will provide leadership and operational management across a portfolio of agricultural properties, ensuring best-practice performance, safety, and productivity. Based in our regional office in Griffith the role is a pivotal leadership position that will bring structure, strategic oversight, and people-first culture to the business. Working closely with the SCF management team you will support a team of Farm Managers across 4 farming sites in Euroley, Leeton and Hillston NSW & Shepparton VIC. Travel to these farms on a regular basis will be a requirement of this position. The role will continue to evolve through active contribution and collaboration with the broader SCF Group, including working with the off-farm management team to support current operations, new opportunities and SCF Investor Groups. You will be the key to connecting the regions farming operation sites. Key Responsibilities Operations Provide support to farm managers and other key on-farm staff. Work collaboratively with Head Office and the Riverina off-farm team. Oversee operational planning, budgeting, capital purchases and reporting. Build high-functioning teams and support staff retention initiatives on farm. Monitor crop health, yield potential, and pest and disease pressures. Drive continuous improvement in farm productivity, quality, safety and compliance. Assist in coordinating harvest activities, seasonal workforce planning, and contractor management. Ensure adherence to company policy, WHS requirements, and industry standards. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Assist with hosting farm visits for investors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Development Coordinate and plan development activities within the region. Assist with development budgeting. Provide updates and reporting on development progress. Corporate Responsibilities Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety, HR policies, food safety, and environmental objectives. Ensure all farm operations comply with GlobalGAP and other relevant quality assurance programs. Assist SCF Farms with the engagement, supervision, and execution of property development plans, and report on crop quality and compliance as required. Uphold and promote SCF Farms Core Values. Skills & Experience Previous experience in agricultural farm management, ideally across multi-site operations. Experience within almond and/or citrus commodities highly regarded. Strong leadership skills and ability to support, mentor, and develop teams. Understanding of irrigation systems, crop planning, horticulture practices, and farm compliance. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while managing diverse operations across multiple regions.
