Location Ipswich (Travel to Felixstowe required) Employment Type Full-time, Permanent Salary 40k (Negotiable & DOE) + Bonus + Benefits About Us Our client was established in 2004 and has grown into a multi-modal logistics provider covering air freight, sea freight, road, rail, and EU operations. Freight Warehouse Manager Role Overview This is a handson warehouse leadership position responsible for daytoday warehouse administration, operational performance, compliance and team management. The role includes responsibility for Customs ETSF operations, container handling, Health & Safety, and continuous improvement across two warehouse sites. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities (inbound/outbound) Manage devanning, palletising, storage, stock movement and order fulfilment Oversee ETSF customscontrolled operations, ensuring correct process flow and documentation Maintain efficient workflows while managing peak volumes and tight deadlines Team Leadership & Management Manage warehouse operatives (team of 15), including rotas, task assignment, training and performance reviews Support recruitment and onboarding of new warehouse staff Maintain a highperformance culture aligned with company values Compliance & H&S Ensure full compliance with HMRC ETSF regulations and offloading permissions Conduct Health & Safety risk assessments, toolbox talks, incident investigations Maintain warehouse in line with H&S, fire safety, security and equipment inspection standards Administration & Reporting Oversee daily warehouse admin, including WMS updates, inbound/outbound logs, stock reporting Liaison with customs team, transport team and external authorities Monitor KPIs: productivity, accuracy, turnaround time, space utilisation, labour planning Felixstowe Expansion Duties Assist in establishing workflow, processes, staffing and equipment setup for the Felixstowe site Provide operational support between both sites as required Skills & Experience Required Minimum 5 years warehouse management or supervisory experience Strong knowledge of Customs ETSF processes and customscontrolled areas Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams Good understanding of Health & Safety (ISO/HSE certified desirable but not essential) Experience working in a containerhandling logistics environment Strong problemsolving ability and attention to detail Competent in warehouse IT systems and Microsoft Office Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced logistics environment Flexible to support operations at multiple locations Why Join Us?
