Join our team as a casual Senior Second Engineer where you will carry out engineering watchkeeping duties during duty periods in addition to scheduled and breakdown maintenance and housekeeping as required by the Chief Engineer. You may be placed on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster, working alongside two highly experienced Chief Engineers committed to supporting your growth and success. Responsibilities Watchkeeping duties during assigned duty periods. Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance and housekeeping of the vessels engineering systems. Provide assistance and support to the Chief Engineer during all engineering operations. Adhere to the ISM Code and Port of Brisbane safety policies. Qualifications Current qualification as an AMSA Engineer watchkeeper and AMSA certificate of Medical Fitness. Knowledge of the ISM Code as it relates to Engineering and the Maintenance of the Ship and Equipment. Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership, resilience and ability to work within a small team environment. Driven to deliver results and take accountability for your work. Capability to faultfind and troubleshoot effectively. Prior experience in dredging is ideally preferred. Benefits $99.84 per hour plus superannuation, with a travel allowance to cover travel to Brisbane port. Lifestyle roster of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
