About The Role As our QC Welding Fabrication Inspector, youll be responsible for overseeing welding and fabrication quality control activities, supporting project execution, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and client specifications. Youll work closely with trades, apprentices, subcontractors, and clients to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety. What Youll Need To Succeed A basic fabrication trade qualification (Cert III or higher) Weld Australia International Institute of Welding Inspector Basic (or equivalent) essential Weld Australia Welding Supervisor AS1796 Certificate 10 (or higher) essential Strong knowledge of welding processes (MMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW) and materials (Carbon Steel, Stainless, Aluminium) Experience in reviewing ITPs, weld procedures, and quality documentation Excellent communication and documentation skills A proactive, safetyfirst mindset Bonus Points For Experience in the petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors Familiarity with nondestructive testing (NDT) and postweld heat treatment (PWHT) Microsoft Office proficiency and strong organisational skills If you can spot a dodgy weld from 10 metres away, we want you!
