Pirovic Farms is hiring a Poultry Quality Assurance Officer for an immediate start. This is a fulltime, ongoing position based at our farm in Bargo NSW. The successful applicant must be able to live onsite. A suitable salary package between $76,515 and $85,000 (plus superannuation) will be offered based on qualification and experience. You will support the quality, safety and compliance functions across all stages of poultry production, working closely with the Operations Manager, farm supervisors and processing staff. You will ensure that our farm meets industry standards and regulatory requirements at all times. Key responsibilities Inspect poultry sheds, flocks, feed, facilities and produce each day to identify quality issues early and provide timely advice to managers Monitor flock health indicators and maintain accurate inspection and testing records Develop, implement and update quality assurance procedures for all stages of production, handling and processing Conduct internal audits across poultry sheds, storage areas, processing rooms and transport operations Test samples of eggs and other produce for size, purity, grade and quality and ensure results meet required standards Oversee hygiene practices in storage, packing, processing and transport Report noncompliance issues and support corrective actions with clear instructions Provide advice on disease control, biosecurity risks and eradication measures Explain the health and safety implications of diseases, impurities and contamination Identify pests and diseases before they spread and advise on containment Ensure correct grading, packing and loading practices Inspect incoming poultry products, materials and transport vehicles for possible biosecurity breaches Issue directions to staff when control measures are required Train staff on quality standards, hygiene requirements and safe practices Keep detailed records for audit and regulatory reporting Qualifications and Experience AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field, or in lieu of a formal qualification at least three years of fulltime experience in a similar role Good knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work procedures Ability to plan daily tasks and complete reports on time Competent computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting Ability to work weekends and after hours on a rotating roster Ability to perform physical work when required This position is suitable for a person desiring a longterm future in poultry farm management with opportunity to advance within the company and who is able to live onsite at the farm to undertake the role.
