Your responsibilities will include: Lead and manage the City Plan project within defined budgets, ensuring best practice standards Research and develop planning options, providing expert advice to Councillors, senior management, staff, customers, and stakeholders Develop and maintain strong working relationships with principal partners and stakeholders Implement Community and Corporate Plan strategies into aligned statutory and non-statutory planning instruments Maintain expert knowledge of relevant planning instruments and legislation to ensure compliance and achieve strategic outcomes Foster a commitment to quality and performance within the department to deliver efficient services. Skills and experience: Proven experience in managing complex planning projects and delivering results within timeframes Strong understanding of Queensland legislative planning frameworks and statutory planning instruments Proven high-level research, analytical, and problem-solving skills in the identification, investigation, development, and evaluation of policy and strategy options. Expertise in effective stakeholder engagement with both internal and external customers, as well as the broader community Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex planning concepts to diverse audiences Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
