In this role, youll help deliver and implement the Redlands Coast Transport Strategy, develop local area transport plans, and lead initiatives that encourage more sustainable travel options like public transport, cycling, and walking. Youll work across teams, with stakeholders and the community, shaping the future of transport in our city. Youll play a strategic role in shaping integrated transport policies, providing technical leadership across projects and trials, and contributing to Councils advocacy on network improvements across the region. Through strong partnerships with government, industry and the community, youll help ensure transport plans reflect local needs and support longterm, sustainable travel outcomes. Your responsibilities will include: Strategic delivery Lead the development and implementation of Local Area Transport Plans and transport initiatives that make a difference. Technical expertise Provide specialist knowledge on complex, multidisciplinary transport projects to ensure practical, highquality outcomes. Stakeholder engagement Build strong relationships with colleagues, community groups, and external partners to deliver integrated transport planning solutions. Futurefocused planning Monitor trends, risks, and technological advancements to inform innovative transport solutions. Advocacy and representation Champion Councils interests on transport networks, representing us at external forums and partnerships. Resource management Deliver projects efficiently, managing budgets, data, and information to achieve maximum impact. Skills and experience: Proven experience in delivering strategic transport projects and policies in local or regional contexts. Ability to manage major projects from scoping to delivery, including multidisciplinary team leadership. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in negotiation, networking, and public speaking. Solid knowledge of current and emerging transport issues, across all modes of transport. Experience advocating for transport improvements and building partnerships with government and external stakeholders. Strong reportwriting skills, with the ability to produce highquality policies, funding submissions, and correspondence. Strategic thinker with a collaborative, solutionsfocused approach.
