Continuing, Part Time Appointment | 0.4FTE Professional Employee Level 7 Annual salary $96,559 $105,992 pa+ 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave Casuarina Campus | Larrakia Country About the Position As the Counsellor, you will be responsible for providing counselling services on Casuarina campus with potential outreach to Danala CBD campus, and support triage and intake processes. The Counsellor will also contribute to, develop, and deliver wellbeing-based projects, sessions, and activities at the Casuarina and Danala CBD campus in Darwin. About You To be successful, you will require: Completion of a relevant degree (for example: Psychology, Social Work, Counselling) with registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant Professional Association, and a commitment to maintain Professional Association membership, professional knowledge, and standards of practice. Extensive counselling experience relevant to tertiary students within a crosscultural higher education environment, using inperson, telephone and online modalities. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work independently and as a member of a small team. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver wellbeing activities which support student wellbeing, inclusion and sense of engagement with the University. Demonstrated commitment to upholding high professional standards, including safeguarding client privacy and confidentiality and maintaining professional case notes, files and practices in accordance with industry standards and Professional Association guidelines. Demonstrated capacity to work in a professional and ethical manner, ensuring decisionmaking is consistent with relevant legislation, University policies and relevant Professional Association Code of Ethics and/or Guidelines. Ability to maintain working knowledge of issues in the higher education sector, especially in student safety and wellbeing and available supports that underpin the teams activities and enhance the student experience. Proficiency in using a diverse range of computer software, including office management packages, and client management systems. Commitment to the Universitys values. Remuneration Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 7. The base salary will be in the range of $96,559 - $105,992 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $112,974 - $124,010 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
