Position Summary Max term part time term position until 30 June 2026 (with view to extend) offering 3 to 4 days per week Based at Penrith working across sites in Western Sydney, including St Marys and Mt Druitt Facilitate group sessions and provide counselling as part of the Mens Behaviour Change Program Were looking for an experienced Mens Behaviour Change Counsellor / Group Facilitator to join our Mens Behaviour Change Program, supporting men through specialist group programs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact while enjoying flexible hours3 to 4 days per week with no weekend work. The schedule includes Monday to Wednesday from 12:30PM to 8:30PM and one additional day from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Youll help clients overcome challenges, build resilience, and improve relationships, with a strong focus on working with families affected by domestic violence and supporting both those who have experienced and those who use violence, as this is a core part of our work. About You The successful applicant will bring: Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling) or equivalent demonstrated experience Clinical membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA Psychotherapy and Counsellors Association of Australia) Experience working with men and facilitating Mens Behaviour Change Programs Demonstrated experience & skills in counselling and group work Experience in providing counselling in an agency setting Demonstrated experience & skills in individual and group settings with people experiencing and/or using Domestic Family Violence (leading DV programs/groups) Experience in traumainformed practice Demonstrated experience relating to diverse groups, e.g. Government departments & other agencies Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCares Christian identity and promote the organisations values through interactions at work Demonstrated understanding of inclusive, respectful practice when working with First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, LGBTIA+ and people with disabilities Demonstrated commitment to social justice outcomes in counselling & group work Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Willing to undergo a Police Check If youre passionate about creating positive change, wed love to hear from you!
