Role Responsibilities Commencement to completion responsibility for low to medium value projects. Assume responsibilities of Senior / Project Manager during periods of leave. Provide administrative support and scheduling. The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery and support of smaller E&I projects, typically under AUD 1M in the APA region. The role requires acting as the nominated customer contact, providing customer liaison, integration with relevant business lines and suppliers to steer the project to successful completion. Other key responsibilities include: Overseeing all aspects of project delivery in accordance with Metso procedures, processes, policies, contract requirements and relevant regulations and industry standards. Developing and presenting professional progress and financial reports, and managing small project teams and associated site activities. Preparing project files (execution strategy, project management plan, quality plan, project schedule, and other key documents) in SAP. Conducting budget, scope of works and contract commercial reviews. Chairing client kickoff meetings and coordinating delivery of commercial documents (insurance certificates, bank guarantees). Ensuring clear understanding of project requirements (SOW) and battery limits, conformity to regulations and standards. Maintaining detailed project schedule (MS Project or P6) and monitoring for milestone achievement. Preparing internal and external progress reports and participating in steering committee meetings. Developing and maintaining risk registers and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Attending customer design review meetings and HAZOPS sessions. Monitoring engineering progress and ensuring timely provision of specifications and drawings. Coordinating the compilation of project documentation (functional specifications, requirements traceability, control philosophies, maintenance manuals). Facilitating flow of technical documents between Metso, customer and suppliers. Preparing purchase requisitions and manufacturing specifications for procurement. Preparing and reviewing ITPs and MDR dossiers. Preparing packing lists, shipping instructions and coordinating unloading activities. Composing written communications to customers, subcontractors and stakeholders. Supporting the proposals group with estimates and proposals. Carrying out special assignments delegated by the Manager of Projects. Performing any other activities, training, reporting or meetings required by the role. Essential Strong leadership and influencing skills. Strong interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills. Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills to meet tight deadlines. Five or more years exposure and knowledge related to the mining industry, specifically within electrical and control systems engineering. Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Control Systems or Mechatronics Engineering. Strong mathematical capabilities. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, MS Project and SAP. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Current drivers licence and vehicle. Current passport. Desirable Tertiary qualification in Project Management or Business Management. Chartered Engineer. Demonstrated experience in Functional Safety. Demonstrated experience in requirements management software. Excellent scheduling skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents. Solid problemsolving and analytical skills. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Excellent project coordinator skills.
