Hartley Customs and Fabrication Pty Ltd Katoomba NSW A unique part time opportunity to drive WHS improvement in a small fabrication business working in and around the beautiful Blue Mountains. This role is for an experienced WHS professional who enjoys being out on site in rugged and remote locations and is committed to developing and improving WHS systems and supporting staff to learn and develop their records and reporting skills. Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home and attend site/workplace as needed, with part time hours structured to suit your lifestyle. Responsibilities Hazard reporting and identification Managing WHS documents for site based work and ensuring records are up to date Maintaining registers, undertaking site inspections and auditing Review and update policies and procedures Reviewing tenders and contract documents and providing WHS advice and support Developing site specific records and Safety Management Plans Delivering training and regular toolbox talks Inspecting plant, equipment and machinery for maintenance and updating/maintaining registers Qualifications and Experience Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents to be eligible for this position Certified at least Cert IV in WHS Minimum 35 years of WHS professional experience Experience in construction or a trades based/workshop background advantageous for inspecting equipment and plant A minimum level of fitness; preemployment medical may be required Possess moderate fitness levels to meet the physical demands of site based work Current Drivers Licence Contract Details Initial contract 3 months, approximately 1218 hours per week.
