Base pay range A$138,124.00/yr A$158,885.00/yr Continuing | Part-Time 0.8 FTE Academic Level C | $138,124 $158,885 p.a. pro rata View Position Description About the Role The Senior Lecturer Teaching Specialist (Clinical Practitioner) will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching in Nursing across all levels and modes of the College, drawing on contemporary, student-centred learning approaches. The incumbent will coordinate and contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of Nursing topics, stepping into Topic Coordinator and Course Coordinator responsibilities as needed primarily supporting the Master of Nurse Practitioner course. A key focus of the position is leading curriculum review, renewal and design to ensure our courses remain innovative, industry-aligned and appealing to current and future student cohorts. The Senior Lecturer will foster creativity and critical thinking through well-designed learning experiences, while providing personalised academic support, professional guidance and career advice to students. The role also involves integrating new technologies and teaching innovations to enhance learning outcomes. As an educational leader, the incumbent will champion best practice and promote the adoption of modern pedagogical principles across the College, contributing to a thriving and forward-thinking learning community. About You As an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, you will have substantial and current clinical practice experience, supported by active registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You will hold a doctorate in a relevant discipline or bring equivalent professional expertise and recognised standing within the Nursing profession. Your background will include contemporary clinical experience that you can continue to maintain alongside this role. You will demonstrate a strong understanding of pedagogical theory and modern educational practices relevant to Nursing, with a proven record of excellence in tertiary teaching across classroom, simulation and/or clinical environments. You will also bring extensive experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative learning and teaching strategies, ensuring students are engaged, challenged and well prepared for professional practice.
