Cook/Kitchenhand/Catering Assistant - Aged CareCatering Industries Pty Ltd is a leading provider of contracted hospitality services (catering, cleaning and laundry) to Australia''s health and aged care, education, government, corporate and resources sector. We currently employ over 1,900 personnel engaged in various operations nationally.About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Cook/Kitchenhand/Catering Assistant who is passionate about cooking nutritious and healthy meals, to join the kitchen team at our new client''s aged care facility in South Grafton, NSW.The successful applicant will be required to commence work early to mid-Jan 2026.Role 1: Monday, Tuesday, Sunday from 3.00pm - 8.00pm and Wednesday, Thursday from 6.30am - 2.30pm.Roster 2: Monday to Saturday from 3.00pm - 8.00pm.Roster 3: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday from 6.30am - 2.30pm.Role 1: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am - 7.00pm.Role 2: Monday, Saturday and Sunday from 9.30am - 7.00pm and Friday from 6.00am - 2.30pm.Cook rate will be discussed during interview.Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.The successful applicant must provide a current Federal Police Check certificate or be willing to apply for one.Benefits and perksThe successful applicant will be offered an attractive remuneration package, inclusive of an above award salary and penalty rates that reflect the skill set and experience of the individual we are seeking.Skills and experience2+ years ''experience in a similar roleCert III in commercial cookery desirableReliable and punctualCollaborative and team playerAbility to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.The ability to function within a kitchen whilst working harmoniously with the team.Excellent client liaison and customer service skillsKey Responsibilities:Meal preparation according to the menu.Be Well Presented and Enjoy Working with and Serving People.Ability to produce high quality meals in line with HACCP guidelines, Quality Assurance procedures.Responsible for preparation of special diets such as puree, gluten free and texture modified etc.Excellent organization skills and the ability to multi-task.High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.Support the chef manager in preparation of meals.Have Knowledge of Food Safety & HACCP.Possess Excellent Communication & Customer Service Skills.Previous Aged Care Experience is Preferable, but not Essential.Provide or be willing to apply for an Australian Police Check.We are a family owned and operated business where our people are our backbone and it''s their passion and dedication that has attributed to our substantial organic growth over the past 40 years.
