Medical Receptionist + Theatre List Coordination (Casual) Experienced Medical Receptionist & Theatre List Coordination (Casual) Location: Traralgon, VICClinic: ValleyCare Eye Doctors ValleyCare Eye Doctors is a wellestablished eye specialist clinic located in Traralgon. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional eye care and surgical services to the local community. The successful applicant will work closely with two other receptionists, practice management, ophthalmologists and orthoptists. Six doctors visit the clinic on a monthly rotation basis, one at a time. The practice management team values collaboration and collective input while working together to achieve positive patient outcomes. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist (minimum 2 years) with strong IT skills who is committed to providing exceptional patient care. This is a casual role (23 days per week), ideal for someone who enjoys flexibility and variety, with the opportunity to cover staff leave when required. There is potential to transition to a permanent parttime position in the future. Working days per week are flexible and to be negotiated based on clinic needs and candidate availability. Our clinic uses multiple electronic software for our daily work, including electronic patient records (Zedmed) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). The applicant is required to be able to learn new computer systems and be comfortable in their everyday use. The work is interesting and varied. This is a mixture of administration and patient care duties per the applicant''s skillset. Training is provided on the job. Key Responsibilities Reception & Patient Services Greet patients professionally and warmly Answer incoming calls Accept referrals and book appointments using Zedmed software Liaise with patients regarding appointments and referrals Estimate appointments fees and Medicare rebates Process patient accounts and liaise with Medicare, DVA, and private health funds Handle multiple enquiries and tasks efficiently Theatre List Coordination Manage surgical wait lists Liaise with hospitals regarding theatre allocations Prepare and manage surgical theatre lists for multiple hospital sites Prepare patient information packages Conduct health fund checks and quote surgical fees Order surgical prostheses Book postoperative appointments About You Minimum 2 years'' experience in medical reception or healthcare administration Strong practical IT skills and ability to learn new systems (Zedmed, Microsoft Office) Ability to work efficiently and independently without regular supervision Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and billing Flexible, openminded approach and willingness to learn new skills Excellent organisational and communication skills Friendly, approachable, and calm under pressure Valid Australian work authorisation What We Offer Casual role with flexibility (23 days per week) Opportunity to cover staff leave Supportive team environment Ongoing training and professional development Potential to transition to permanent parttime If the opportunity for this role matches your desire to join a busy practice with growth potential, please apply through Seek, including two relevant referees in your CV.
