About the Role As the Security 2IC, you will play a critical leadership role in the smooth and safe operation of our clients licensed club. You will support the Security Manager in overseeing the security team, ensuring compliance with NSW liquor legislation, and maintaining a strong customerservice approach while managing patron behaviour and venue safety. This position is ideal for a security professional with proven experience, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to take charge during busy trading periods. Key Responsibilities Support the Security Manager in daily oversight of the security team Act as the shift lead when the Manager is not present Provide guidance, mentoring, and direction to security officers Conduct shift briefings and allocate duties Monitor entry points, verify IDs, and ensure compliance with venue entry policies Maintain a proactive security presence throughout the venue Oversee incident management, deescalation, and conflict resolution Ensure accurate completion of incident reports and shift logs Liaise with venue management and staff regarding safety or patronrelated concerns Ensure adherence to RSA obligations under NSW legislation Assist in emergency responses and evacuation procedures Essential Requirements Current NSW Security Licence (Class 1A) Current RSA and First Aid Certificate Strong leadership, communication, and decisionmaking skills Demonstrated experience in a licensed venue or similar security environment Proven ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and calm Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays Must have permanent Australian work rights Desirable Qualifications Experience supervising or mentoring staff Additional training in conflict management, crowd control, or incident reporting What We Offer Aboveaward conditions and competitive pay Penalty rates Opportunity for a 4 day work week Opportunities for leadership development and professional training Supportive management and teamoriented culture Secure, consistent work within a wellmanaged venue About Us Sierra Security is a professional security services provider delivering highquality, customerfocused security solutions across NSW.
