Are you a female who likes to chat and connect with young people? Do you have 1 day a month to spare? Would you like to make a positive impact in a young girls life, as well as your own? Let us connect you to a young girl in your community who needs a helping hand. Whats involved? Face to face visits once a month at a time that suits both you (the volunteer) and the young person/their family. Volunteers in our program give young people the experience and benefits of a stable relationship and a positive adult they can look up to. Together you will do a range of fun activities and simple everyday things that expose the young person to new and different activities that help build confidence, social and life skills. As a volunteer in this role you would be supported by a dedicated case manager from Wesley Mission. Requirements Over the age of 21 Willing to undergo Working with Children Checks and Criminal History Checks Able to participate in youth appropriate activities i.e. sports, community events Physically fit Current drivers licence Able to commit for 12 months Come and join our volunteer team and be a positive influence in a young persons life.
