About the Role Bulk haulage contractors, operating from south coast Illawarra to metropolitan Sydney area. Gates Haulage is a successful business that has been established since the 1970s and continues to proudly operate within the supply chain industries. Our head office is based in Gerringong NSW, whilst our services and products are supplied state-wide and to the Sydney Metropolitan area. We are currently seeking a competent, selfmotivated and dedicated tradesperson to assist other qualified members of our team, to service and maintain our fleet. This role will suit a selfmotivated individual who can interact and communicate positively with other team members, while having the ability to work autonomously. Job Tasks and Responsibilities Workshop maintenance and servicing Field maintenance and breakdown repairs Perform vehicle servicing and repairs in accordance with company policy Diagnosing and repairing issues General workshop housekeeping and documentation Conversing with workshop manager about previous, existing and upcoming jobs Skills and Experience Required Australian recognised trade qualification, heavy vehicle mechanic Experience in this role is required Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to a standard HC drivers licence would be desirable but not essential (or willing to obtain) Forklift ticket would be desirable (or willing to obtain) Team oriented worker Availability for overtime and oncall breakdowns/after hours to be shared about by the team Day/Arvo shift available Oncall allowance supplied if its your turn oncall Job Benefits and Perks Join our long established, experienced, family owned and operated business Ability to earn up to $140k per annum Flexible working hours available A wellequipped service/breakdown vehicle will be provided for the suitable applicant A work phone is supplied for the time you are rostered on oncall Application Details Please do not send a cover letter with your resume.
