Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Enforcement Automation to join our team on a 12month secondment to help transform core infringement and enforcement processes. This is a strategic, hands-on role where youll design, develop, and deploy innovative software solutions that leverage automation, AI, and intuitive design to deliver efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across multiple jurisdictions.As a technical expert and problem-solver, youll manage the full development lifecyclefrom identifying opportunities and designing solutions to coding, testing, and deployment.Youll integrate systems such as Salesforce, gLIDE, Yellowfin, and NES, build and maintain data pipelines, develop RPA bots, and create user-friendly front-end tools that simplify complex investigative workflows.This role is central to driving innovation and continuous improvement, directly supporting strategic objectives to significantly increase the speed and volume of infringement processing.Solution Design & BuildCollaborate with product owners, designers, UX specialists, and vendors to deliver elegant, accessible, and cost-effective applications.Develop and maintain accurate designs that meet Transurban standards.Perform impact assessments, code reviews, and ensure secure, efficient delivery aligned with DevOps and Agile practices.Provide estimates, track status, and report on software development progress.Problem & Issue ManagementDiagnose and resolve system performance issues promptly to meet SLAs.Collaborate with stakeholders to address enforcement challenges and remediate data issues sustainably.Solution Delivery & MethodologiesContribute to the development and improvement of technology processes, standards, and documentation.Actively participate in Agile and DevOps communities of practice.Data Analytics & VisualisationSupport ingestion and processing of structured/unstructured data.Monitor enforcement performance metrics using AI-powered analytics.Design clear process flows, maps, and documentation to illustrate AI-enhanced workflows.Ensure process improvements align with regulatory requirements.Maintain documentation in line with company standards.Partner across Operations, Technology, and Reporting teams.Lead training programs, workshops, and coaching to support adoption of new AI-driven tools.Champion a culture of continuous learning and innovation.Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)Monitor enforcement performance metrics using AI-powered analytics.Design clear process flows, maps, and documentation to illustrate AI-enhanced workflows.Ensure process improvements align with regulatory requirements.Maintain documentation in line with company standards.Partner across Operations, Technology, and Reporting teams.Lead training programs, workshops, and coaching to support adoption of new AI-driven tools.Champion a culture of continuous learning and innovation.Governance & ComplianceCollaboration & TrainingSupport workplace safety and comply with HSE policies.Report hazards, incidents, and promote safe work practices.Stakeholder EngagementInternal: Customer Solutions Operations, Customer Retail Solutions, Customer Data & Insights, Operational Excellence, ITS Ops, Legal, Technology.External: Transport for NSW, North West Roads Group (NWRG), Department of Transport and Main Roads (QLD), VIC Roads.Were Seeking Someone Who Brings:Strong experience in software engineering, automation, and system integration.Hands-on expertise with DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile practices.Proven ability to design scalable automation tools and user-friendly interfaces.Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, gLIDE, Yellowfin, and NES.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across diverse teams.A flexible, innovative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.Job Type:Fixed Term (Fixed Term)Closing Date:08-Dec-2025Please note: The closing date reflects the time zone of the Primary Location for this job posting.Primary Location:Melbourne CBD & Inner Suburbs Melbourne VIC #J-18808-Ljbffr
