Portfolio Director Education and Faith The Aon Australia Commercial Risk Product and Platforms team manages the strategic direction and tactical priorities of platform and product developments. Operating alongside the placement and technology teams, they are responsible for driving and accomplishing Aon Australias GoToMarket Strategy. What the day will look like As the Portfolio Director Education and Faith portfolios, you will provide insights on portfolio performance and adherence to GTMS. You will have both an internal and external focus as you understand the client, broker, and carrier needs and issues. You will be expected to engage in a way that drives change through influence rather than via hierarchy. Your key responsibilities will include Understand market dynamics (with respect to product) and their impact on Aons revenue, identifying opportunities to enhance GTMS. Advocate, educate, and promote Aon products as part of the EduPac and Faith GTMS, ensuring improved E&O and contractual certainty for clients. Analyse competitive remuneration structures (e.g. commission rates) and product/platform positioning including premium adequacy on an individual client and portfolio basis. Obtain, retain and analyze detailed claims information for portfolio clients to identify trends and opportunities that can be effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders. Accountable for obtaining New Business quotes from carriers ensuring they are timely, competitive and sustainable. Accountable for internal Service Requests being addressed in an accurate, complete and timely manner. Assess and refine product offerings across different channels and their revenue implications. Conduct SWOT analysis of Aons product offerings versus major external competitors, defining strategic positioning. Engage with segments and stakeholders to gather insights on product competitiveness, identify leakage points, and develop solutions. Triage insurer-imposed derogations and manage carriers around product integrity. Conduct quarterly meetings with carriers (in the GTMS) to assess performance, quotetobind ratios, and market appetite, gathering insights for continuous improvement. Provide feedback to platform and technical teams to ensure product and platform development aligns with market needs. Lead half yearly product forums with key stakeholders to review regulatory updates, competitive landscapes, claims trends, economic factors, and market conditions. Review and maintain the carrier panel within GTMS, ensuring product offerings and pricing remain competitive. Maintain oversight of all products in the EduPac and Faith portfolios, commissions, and market alignment to ensure customer value and competitiveness. Ensure timely review of insurer provided PDS and TMD within 14 days. Collaborate with insurers and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements, including UCT regulations, PDS requirements, and Target Market Determinations (TMDs). Lead the development (and refresh) of new and existing policy wordings and conduct costbenefit analysis to support prioritisation. Project manage endorsement updates to the technical library to incorporate feedback and input from product owners, technical and placement to ensure colleagues and clients receive up to date derogation commentary. Lead policy wording refresh initiatives, coordinating with key stakeholders to manage downstream changes effectively. Approve risk code requests to ensure justification and compliance and improve data and analytics to support new product opportunities. Coordinate and connect with internal and external stakeholders (colleagues, clients, carriers). Collaborate with platforms, technical teams, and placement teams to break down operational silos. Audit carriers for adherence to wording and reduction of derogations, improving contractual certainty for clients.
