About us: Emerald Hospital, located 275 kilometres west of Rockhampton, offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient and community services and is the major referral centre for the Central Highlands region that incorporates Blackwater MultiPurpose Health Service, Springsure MultiPurpose Health Service, and Woorabinda MultiPurpose Health Service (located within the discrete Indigenous community of Woorabinda, 170 kilometres west of Rockhampton). Primary Health Clinics are located at Gemfields, Tieri, and Capella. About the role: Provide high quality, effective, efficient, professional, and confidential administrative support to the General Manager and other members of the General Manager''s leadership team, as required. About you: While not mandatory a Certificate in Business Administration would be highly regarded. Proven ability and experience in managing and prioritising the commitments and associated activities for senior staff including the ability to initiate, determine and follow up work priorities within mandated and tight deadlines. Advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in contemporary computer software applications and other information technology applications. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and written communication skills which reflect the ability to liaise effectively, diplomatically and discretely at all levels of the organisation and with other government and non-government agencies, community organisations and member of the public. Proven ability to utilise a high degree of initiative, decision making skills and negotiation skills and reliability in operating independently with minimal guidance and direction.
