Job Description

Central Gippsland Health Service Sale VIC Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a subregional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps. CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a fulltime emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and services and subacute services including rehabilitation. CGH also provides aged care and community services in the Wellington Shire and beyond. We operate four residential aged care homes located in Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield delivering highquality, personcentred care in supportive and homelike environments. CGH provides a wide range of communitybased services that support people to remain healthy, active, and independent in their own homes. This includes the provision of Support at Home, Commonwealth Home Support Programs, and other inhome services tailored to individual needs. Our integrated model of care is supported by a multidisciplinary allied health team offering physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and social work. We also provide accessible public dental services to enhance community wellbeing. CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University''s School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students. About Department To develop and implement a plan to sustain and develop the facilities of the business while supporting the organisation''s strategic goals. To report to the Director Corporate Services and other stakeholders regular progress updates and to effectively manage the Engineering Services team day to day. About the Role The role works are characterised by a need: To work closely and in collaboration with internal and external customers to understand their needs and meet their service delivery requirements while supporting the organisation''s strategic goals. To balance competing priorities and work demands and to identify and respond appropriately to critical and urgent business needs; To provide leadership and management support for staff within designated organisational teams; Duties Manage the identification, documentation, maintenance and remediation of the condition of the built environment, plant and equipment and to determine the priority of requirements with the executive management team; Develop, document, implement and coordinate the planned preventative and urgent breakdown requirements; Prepare budgets and ensure sound financial management reporting; Advise the executive on matters requiring attention and decision, includes written reports and briefs; Ensure conformity with specifications and plans, and with laws, regulations and safety standards. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience and success in managing engineering services, facilities maintenance and projects. Demonstrated team leadership skills Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills Current driver license.
